Each performance is carefully curated to feature a blend of emerging and established jazz musicians from Kenya and beyond. This platform not only nurtures musical talent but also exposes audiences to diverse and inspiring sounds. The lineup is meticulously planned to ensure every Sunday night offers a fresh and engaging experience.

A Dining Experience Like No Other

This fusion of taste, sound, and ambiance creates an unforgettable journey for guests.

Meet Vanessa Bwibo: The Visionary Behind Bwibo Restaurant

A Passion for Jazz, Business, and Hospitality

I’m Vanessa Bwibo, the owner and director of Bwibo Restaurant, located along Kanjata Road in Lavington. My journey into the restaurant industry was fueled by a deep love for jazz, business, and hospitality.

I started my business by selling food online, personally delivering orders to homes and offices. Through aggressive online marketing, demand skyrocketed, and soon, my mother’s kitchen couldn’t keep up. I knew it was time to expand. I rented a small, simple space in Kilimani for dine-in and takeaways. With the support of my savings, my family, and a close friend, my business flourished, eventually growing into what Bwibo is today.

A Culinary and Musical Experience

At Bwibo, we specialize in loaded fries, burgers, meat platters, and expertly crafted cocktails. Recently, we expanded further by opening a wine house—an exciting addition that perfectly complements our food, drinks, and jazz. A splendid mix.

Live performances have become a defining feature of our Sundays, made possible with the invaluable guidance of Eddie Grey, who helped bring this vision to life. What started as a restaurant has transformed into a cultural hub—a place where great food, fine wine, and soulful music create an unparalleled experience.

More Than a Restaurant—A Cultural Hub

Bwibo is more than a restaurant; it is a celebration of culture, community, and the magic of live jazz. Through dedication and passion, I have built a haven for jazz lovers, wine enthusiasts, and food aficionados alike.
